Thanks for responding. I have tried moving my listening position laterally as you have suggested and while it is different it does not affect the 1k peak which is near flat at 800hz rising quickly to 6-9 db peak at 1k and then back down to flat at 1400 hz. This is based on the Tact RCS 2.0 read out. I have tried all kinds of room treatments which improved other areas but none touched the 1k peak. Your speculations would be most appreciated. Joe Fagan
