Hi,Have you considered the amp chips from Nat Semi, (cant remeber the number off the top off my head but visit their Web site and you will find them). I know it is sacralige to speak of such things but they are really good for the money and would be more tolerant of your weady TX and Heat sink as they have good psu rejection and a thermal shut down. There are several highly regarded (For a silicon design) circuits arround on the net. It would save time and effort and probably be more tnan sufficient for your background sound system requirements.
