interesting point. At summer vacation at KK, Ray displayed an intensive knowledge of the manufacturing process of raw wire, and the problem with ultra fine (32+ awg) wire is that the holes which it is drawn through cannot have as smooth a surface, hence affecting the surface integrity of the wire, whether gold, copper or silver, it is the machines used to draw the wire that is the problem, not conductor properties.
