I have ran across several internet sites that have a large number of power supply schematics on them. I would recommend that you search the web. I think you can find several examples and the price can't be beat. An execellent source for audio related power supplys is back issues of "Audio Amature" magazine. The Selzer and the Jung regulator are over kill for your cooling fans but there is a wealth of information on power supplies in those articles. Jung's articles were in vol 1 & 2 of 1995.

I have a book by Abraham Pressman "Switching and Linear power supply, power converter Design". It mainly covers switching designs so may be of little use to you, but it was a title I knew about. "The Art of Electronics" has been recomended on this site before and it may be just the book to help you in this and many other projects. The Old Colony Sound Lab (part of www.audioxpress.com) has several books you may find useful. Hope this helps!
