I guess this has to deal with metallurgy and conductivity. And possibly the reason why certian solders sound better than others. However, this would imply that solder should be judiciously applied. The appropriate type of solder to the type of metals to be soldered. Silver bearing solders for precious metal joints, SN63 for non-precious metal joints. How about for precious metal/non-precious metal joints? Thanks for any feedback.
