If the 6 and 0.33 are in parallel with nothing else there, then the 0.33 is a true bypass cap.
It is used to lower the ESR of large electrolytic capacitors.
Personally, I could argue either way, either use one "good" 32uf (you can get really good electrolytic speaker caps these days) or use some "pretty good" 22+10 with a bypass for the same effect.
A friend of mine purchased original Legacys about ten years ago, probably as old as yours. We decided to recap the electrolytic caps and we just stuck good 32uf caps in it. They sounded nice.
