You might consider these tiles that are reasonably cheap. They are not foam. I don't think these are ideal for bass traps. I used them mainly to stop back slap in corners. My room is small so I don't want deeper panels. These tiles come in different colors. I do have deeper foam where the walls meet the ceiling.
