As an RF engineer, that doesn't surprise me at all. However in a residential setting this is rare.

Some audiophiles automatically think harmful noise interference is abundant everywhere. It's not that simple. The question is if the EMI and RFI present are influencing a base band audio signal in your system.

Most of the time it's not an issue though not impossible.
