@Duster, I will leave those questions up to an EE who is more familiar with DAC circuit topologies.What I am guessing/taking away from the write up is that the 4 LME49720 channels are responsible for converting the 2 differential "current" channels into 2 single ended "voltage" channels.
My next guess is that the resulting 2 single ended "voltage" channels are in a OPA2604 feedback configuration (e.g. "These signals as voltages are then cleaned up of any conversion residue by a Burr-Brown OPA2604"). With no circuit schematic to look at, this is a WAG from someone that is in over his head.
Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable can chime in.
