Well, egg is an excellent source of protein. My guess is that one could come up with a better sounding or much better sounding cap for not much more money and that thinking along the lines of the much used, and for a good reason the Wima MPK-10 which I have heard and used and the very well thought of by a couple of people with experience with them the Cornell Dubilier 940c. These are inexpensive or very inexpensive caps. I agree that saving a few extra bucks in a situation like this doesn't make any sense to me for a personal project. Maybe you can suggest better sounding caps that are still very inexpensive or comment on the two I mentioned. Humble Hi Fi likes both the Wima and the CDI 940c. Edit: The 2.2 940c is around $13 so it wouldn't exactly fit the super budget paridigm.
