um, tried many and previously thought finyl was best at getting rid of digital nasties. haven't really minded polishing seedees but most of these products give disappointing returns and often muck up the works, so up to now have not treated any new seedees, especially if recently mastered.the auric pen and fluid combination is really boss. like all of the fluids, buffing to remove all excess film is important, but not labor intensive. i've found you can even leave other products on and it works without need to first wash seedees, so it must work to remove any stuff on the surface. with other products, one could detect a deadening of dynamics and closing in of soundstage as a by product, especially if you put on too much. really hated the green pen, by the way, since it was easy to overapply and difficult to remove (it crusted up impervious) and did little, but this stuff is hard to fault. try it on your worse sounding seedees, even if you dislike becasue it was mastered or recorded wrong, and you note a big improvement. on a garden variety older laserdisc machine, it's almost like getting a new 20+ bit dac, but improvement applies across the board not just to low-end gear but higher-end stuff as well. you'll hear more resolution, more air, more width, more soundstage. it doesn't make everything nice but greatly improves all things digital that fatigue listener. my test is to test in car where the digital is pure unadultered brutal 16-bit with no built in euphonic aids in the chain. now every disc i play in the car has to be illuminated first :-)
would love to slam another bogus product but this one has merit. more so than the others. it's worth the forty bucks.
