Are you sure it's 550 KVA ? That's 550,000 watts! If so it would be enough to run your whole house. More likely it's 5.5 KVA or 5500 watts and that would be enough to power 5 amps at 120 VAC> I'm not sure what voltage you Aussies run but if you're on 220VAC then it would be about 2.4 amps.
