I use the HTS-1000 which contains the "Stage 2" filtering in addition to the "Stage 1" filtering of the unit BS64 uses. It is an eight outlet version of the twelve outlet HTS-2000 that TAS raved over. Mine did make a significant difference for the $150 invested. My situation is somewhat different than yours because I have more front end components. In addition to CDP, I also run my preamp, turntable, and speaker transformers through the unit.Although I did not experience any overt buzzing or noise on the line prior to using the HTS-1000, everything is now quieter, revealing more detail.
