Someone also recently mentioned having used wooden clothespin to good effect. Haven't tried it but it sounds reasonable to me and it is definitely cheap.I have to say though, I am a big fan of the idea of using ceramic electric fence insulators. They look like they would be perfect. Farm supplies and hi fi, a match made in heaven!
