http://beyond_gomer.tripod.com/sub3.jpgThe driver is the new ACI-SV10. Chech out ACI's website for the driver specs.
The amp is the KG-5150. Madisound has specs. The box is constructed out of premium 3/4" MDF (has a more uniform and higher density)
The veneer is walnut. I didn't want to spend $60 for s sheet of veneer, so I resawed some lumber and made my own 1/8" thick laminate. (I have a complete wood shop). The front baffle is 3/4 maple laminated onto the MDF (1 1/2 thick baffle)
I finished the wood with Minwax natural oil finish anf 4 coats of Polyacrylic.
The inside of the box was lined with Gorilla Glue. As the glue cures, it expands to a ridged foam. This helped with rigidity as well as making the box resonantly DEAD...you have to try this DIY mod!
The box was then stuffed with multiple 1" thick layers of bonded dacron.
The internal volume is 1.13ft^3

Total PER sub ~$325In terms of labor, It really didn't take too long for total hours because I have wood tools up the yin-yang, however, the total time was a couple of weeks because I had to wait for glue to dry. I also had school that got in the way.
HOW DO THEY SOUND?
All I can say is pure subwoofer extacy!
I will post SPL nearfield when I get the equipment to do so.
