Re: Isolation for a DVD player/transport?

Personally I tried the Aurios first (first one I heard about).
Boy were they impressive. When you first put them in thee is not always the WOW response, but when you remove them there sure is a "things suck now -- put them back!" type feeling.
The Machina Dynamica I recently learned about (an inmate is one of the company owners), but had been in my mind for months as I saw one of their tables at a friends.
The Final Lab's I jsut heard about last week through a post here, and I hope to try soon (esp. since they seem so cost effective).

Though I know he has not done much A/B'ing yet, a good person to contact is Clark Johnsen. Not only is he a big proponent of isolation, but he happens to own Aurios and a Machina table, and has the Final Labs product on the way.

I have to get my system set up and organized. I have a new pre on the way, so I have to get everything burned in, etc. At that point I really should get motivated and borrow all three toys from Clark and compare them more critically.

As for the dust question -- that is a good one! I did not see any problem in my limited time with them, but knowing the amount of dust that builds up around components...
For $300 I would assume you could send them back and they would clean them out for you if they are clogged.
