AMRs, being gold plated, are a very smooth sounding fuse, IMHO

Maybe a we bit too smooth sounding for some, but they are definitely smooth and liquid sounding, if that is what you are after. Generous bass and mids, too. (Again, maybe too generous, but whatever floats your boat, of course, and YMMV, and all that.) They are definitely NOT lean sounding, that is for sure.

And they are reasonably priced compared to other high-end fuses (if you can call ANY fuse priced over $0.99, 'reasonable')

I own them. I have used them. I have direct experience with them. But I do prefer the Silver Star HiFi Tuning, as well as their Supreme silver-gold fuses, as they are far more detailed and open sounding. But the AMRs definitely have weight and solidity in their corner. And again, they are much, much cheaper.

BUT, check out Parts Connexion for their blow-out (60-80% off) of the HiFi Tuning gold fuses, as those are actually a better sounding fuse to my ears than the AMRs, but that comparison is much more close, as they are both gold plated. Given the sales pricing, I believe the HiFi Tuning gold fuses may be your best bet.

Best of luck!

Cheers,

WS
