11 AWG AudioQuest FLX/SLiP 14/4

Another inexpensive under $2 per foot speaker cable option is AudioQuest FLX/SLiP 14/4 (11 AWG aggregate/effective gauge). It provides a linear sounding transition from top to bottom, good extension at the frequency extremes, good detail and imaging, and good dynamics for the price. Its geometry is a very high twist rate twisted quad for lowered inductance and improved noise cancellation vs. a twisted pair such as the Belden 1313A. Make sure to wire the cable cross connected (star quad geometry). Considering its low price point, the AudioQuest FLX/SLiP concentric packed long grain copper strand lay design seems to be an effective design aspect for low-budget audiophile applications.
