There is a little more to getting good sound from a cabinet than simply doubling the volume. First it depends on type of speaker cabinet, whether it is bass reflex, air suspension, transmission line, horn, or infinite baffle. There is a speaker asylum here and there are a number of speaker builder websites. I highly recommend madisound.com.
