When I try a tweak I like it or I don't. I almost always have no idea what will happen. Occasionally I try a tweak where others have written of their outcome and my outcome is sometimes the same, sometimes not.
Over the last many tweaks both this year and those previously I've improved HF so much* that I decided to try something. Since I no longer use my CD transport I'm going to take its better/preferred power cord and replace the power cord that my P-300 uses; a nice but brighter cable in my many listening comparisons. It's an Ernie's sand filled liftable ground AC cable. My P-300 only powers my Trivista which I use as a DAC and my Placette's power supply.
This represents the first time I "with purpose" and a desired outcome will try a "tweak". Whether that "target" is achieved or not is to be seen. If it does fine, if not fine, we'll see. In the past switching between these two power cords as I am softened HF so we'll see if that still happens in this application which is my goal.
Ren: Maybe it will, maybe it won't.........we don't know!
I look forward to tinkering with this and it represents one of the benefits and sources of enjoyment of this hobby for me.
