I tried my original loops made from some old Kimber Kable (4PR?) on the TV system and the difference there was equally obvious.
I will be taking them down to my partner's house this week to try there.
On Saturday, I mentioned what I'd done and she said (and she usually says she can't hear differences) that the entire system sounded different from the time I turned it on and regardless of what music was playing.
A recording engineer/producer called by and he was flumoxed by what could be causing it. We put those loops in and out a few times and he's going to ask some other recording guys if they have any idea.
