What do you think of these two Acrylic Isolation Platform Ideas for a Basis 1400 turntable?

1. 3/4 or 1 inch thick acrylic platform with four Herbies Audio labs Tender feet under it, one in each corner with turntable on top and motor with, both turntable and motor stock.

2. 1/inch thick acrylic sandbox all around.

What do you guys think? Ask good or better than commercial platforms?

When I see some of the commercial products I believe that there is a lot of bs, common, proprietary, that just means they don't want to give you any information about what they are really using, maybe everything that they use can be bought locally. Gerald.
