The cable jackets are stiffed with sawdust from machining their mpingo discs and other products. They work similarly to the power wraps in that the mylar diagonal strip is absorbing part of the EMI emitted from the cable. They go one step further by grounding the strip, however.
No crystals are in the jackets.
