I don't use active power conditioning at all. Too expensive and too many complaints about limiting dynamics. I use very effective mostly passive or parallel methods that work well and work cumulatively, and all are very popular here on Tweaks these days.
1) Jon Risch Iso Tranny for my digitals - this is the only active piece in my system.
2) DA BLOK design DC blocker for my sub and EQ. This is the only serial piece in my system.
3) R-C-R parallel arrays for filtering AC all over my system and in other places in my home (computer, TV, etc.)
4) Piezoelectric crystals for passive filtering all over my system, starting with the breaker box.
All of the above can be DIYed relatively cheaply. Some, like the crystals, can be purchased relatively cheaply. NONE limit my dynamics!
