Some time ago I found cracked 18kVA 18" tall isolators that weighed about 30 pounds. I wanted these for my speaker cables as they were heavy, ceramic, and allowed me to use a single one well located, under each speaker cable. I found that they didn't sound as good as the Suspenders, however. This was solved by taping a Suspender on top of each.

This is why I am concerned about the glaze on ceramics. I used to be a potter and had a kiln. Were I still to have it. I would experiment with glazes. You might well find black sugar packet holders sound different from white ones.
