Good Evening Everybody,
I have an old B&K 202plus that had a two wire perminent power cord. The cord was damaged in the middle so i decided to upgrade the cord and install an IEC. I want to test my connections, going from two wire connection to a three wire(positive, negative, ground)connection. I added a ground line attached to the frame of the amp. Can i test my connections without having the amp connected to any speakers? This amp and an old Sumo preamp are going to my daughter and i don't have her speakers or a cheap pair of speakers to test (fearing the possibility i may have connected the IEC incorrectly). I was told i should never turn on my tube amp without a speaker load attached. Does this go for SS as well?
Any guidence would be greatly appreciated
R.E.B.
