First thanks to Kenster, et al for the recommendation.

So why would anyone in their right mind spend $145 on a electrical receptacle?? Well, if it added $500-1000 worth of improvement, it would be considered a bargain. But I'm not quite sure how to put a price on the improvement. But the improvement is on par with a component upgrade IMO.

I let the recep burn in for 100 hrs before installation. My way of evaluation is to let it play for a few days. Then remove it. It is easier to hear what you are missing than it is to hear what you have gained IMO. Plus, you WANT TO HEAR IMPROVEMENT. I learned to remove the component from the system for evaluation after I fooled myself into thinking something was better only to find differently when it was removed.

The sound stage immediately shrunk after removal. Clarity and instrument isolation was also gone. I didn't notice it until I put the R1 back in the loop. I immediately noticed a better energy to the music. I cannot help but move with the music whether that be to tap my feet, play my drums on the chair arm or just get up and dance. This is a keeper at 150-200 hrs. And I hear it gets even better.

So to sum it up, the improvements I hear are more energy, Sound stage out the wazu and Better instrument placement and isolation.
