Of course the planer and full range electrostatic guys already enjoy music reproduction free of cabinet induced colorations but it's shame that Tekna-sonics didn't get the exposure they deserved back when they were in business.
Well a year ago I would have agreed and dismissed the post I am writing as crazy, but you know what, planars can suffer from vibrations too.
My mags have fantastic imaging but man they improved when I attacked those vibrations...by putting dynamat and later a mixture of ropecaulk and a black dynamat knock off on the metal frame and polepieces. here are some EARLY photos. The current one is not much to look at as it is all black and every vertical line is filled unlike the 2nd photo:
