RE: Alan Maher CBFs... an install question

I love Alan, but wish he wasn't doing the Facebook thing! I really don't want to be on Facebook at all. Not his fault.

As to placement, I can't get into my box safely, that is, not behind the metal casing. I know it can be done, but not by me! So I have to place my CBF on top of the metal wherever I try it.

Several places work well for me, and I'm convinced that you can do more than one at a time in various places: right next to the breakers that control the audio outlets, right next to the main breaker, and to a lesser degree at the bottom of the box where all the output BX conduit is about to emerge into the house - those are the best spots in my system for greatest sonic impact.

You can tell so quickly that it isn't worth agonzing over! If you don't hear some impact you appreciate within the first few to 20 minutes, move it elsewhere.

Of course the break in changes all that within a few hours to weeks, but it snaps back into place eventually where you found the impact in the first few minutes, IME.
