RE: Do Vishay resistors have a "sound" ?

A while ago, my friend who lived in Israel, went to the Vishay factory there and got a bunch of resistor samples which he tried in different applications. His results as I recall were quite similar to yours. He stated that in the signal path they were very quiet but very lean and hard sounding, therefore detailed but not musical. He was impressed though putting them elsewhere. He settled on carbon's used by Rotel in the 90's but I can't remember which.
