Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
Hi, like everybody else I have a signifficant number of wall warts and
DC power supplies behind my equipment. Most of them are of switching (noise) variety. Replacing all of them with non-switching, regulated DC powersupplies would cost a lot, would take a lot of place and would add additional trannies into the RF mix.
Most of the wall warts are of negligible consumption req(500ma etc)
Here is what I have in mind. Never seen similar product anywhere.
Is my idea dumb, or are other people slow to realize potential?
Regulated 5v/9V/12V distribution block.
Buying a surplus dual voltage DC regulated
power adapter and then adding a block with multiple (e.g. 6 for 5V and 6 for 12V DC) outputs.
Is it doable, and how? I got an idea from here, but not for what I want to do.
