Based on advice from Jon Risch, I sealed the front of my panel traps with 0.7 mil plastic such that the entire front and sides of the traps are behind the plastic. I also bought some garage door weatherstripping to put around the back edges of the traps to seal them to the walls, ceiling and floor. It should be totally air tight now.
How does the bass (and other frequencies) get inside the trap with it all sealed up like that?
