Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I was pondering the panels vs. tubes debate and thinking about doing something different with my wall panels (which are for HF absoption/diffusion, not bass)
I'm thinking it would be cool if there was a way to reproduce album covers on a reasonably acoustically transparent fabric, to use as a cover for 12" x 12" panels. They could then be hung on the wall closely spaced in a 3 x 3 grid at first reflection points.
The album art would probably have to be simple, without a lot of text. I could see a wall full of exotica (Arthur Lyman, Martin Denny, Les Baxter, etc). Or maybe some of those "adult" covers that have been posted before. Or for the strong of constitution, the "world's worst" covers . . .
I seem to remember a company that will put any art on grill fabric for panel speakers that are meant for wall mounting. So it seems feasible. Anyone know where I could get this done?
