Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I'm in the process of experimenting with the teflon tape tweak but read Uwe's comments in a previous thread about using teflon tube instead. He suggested that a 6 mm outer diameter tube would stretch over the neutral and live but I also know that he's in Europe and am wondering whether anyone has tried this in North America and if that size teflon tube is appropriate with North American plugs. Seems to me also that the ground pin might require a larger outer diameter?
I have an E-bay source for the tubing in that 6 mm size but am also looking for suggestions in terms of where I might find teflon tubing locally. Would Home Depot source this or is there a specialty kind of retailer that I should seek out for the teflon tubing?

- No, European plugs are round, not blades. I cannot imagine using tubes here. nt - Norm 08:17:34 10/10/09 (0)
