How to “warm-up” the sound of my CD based system?

Dear All,

Do you guys have any ideas on how to “warm-up” the sound quality of my Tube Technology “Fusion” CD64 CD player. I love the player and it has been quite reliable, however, I would like to make the sound a little more warm, laid-back and easy on the ears (to improve listening for long periods). I think this player is quite natural sounding but a little less bite or stridency (hardness) would be appreciated.

Any ideas?

The rest of my system is:

Audio Research SP9 pre-amplifier (slightly modified and fitted with Mullard NOS tubes with Herbies tube dampers and Iso cup feet)

Townshead Seismic Sink platforms

Michelle Alecto Monoblock Power Amplifiers

Proac D2 loudspeakers

Van Den Hul “The Wind” Mk II loudspeaker cables (bi-wired)

Van Den Hul “The Second” and “The First2 interconnects

I listen to mainly pop, rock and easy listening stuff.

Thanks!

MJ
