Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I did some decorative work on my room, Since I deeply pealed the walls I decided to go ahead and move the location of my dedicated line. Doing so shortened the previous length of the AC wires and I was left with some 5ft to spare. The room it self, furniture, rug, new wall paint, system position, all remained the same. A second before cutting the spare wires I decided to conduct an experiment: Why don't I remove the PC's gear side plugs, connect them directly to the line wires (chain one to the other with the same type of wire 1ft long for amp and cdp) and see what no PC's and outlets system sounds like.
Yes, it sounded fantastic, better than with any hi-end PC's/outlets configuration I've ever tried, and most surprisingly with no RFI.
I know what I did was against many E-codes, but what it gave me is the perspective of how good PC's/outlets should sound like: No flavoring, No connection is the best connection.

- No doubt about it. I hard wired everything about 15 years ago. Very inconvenient. - Norm 07:26:36 05/08/09 (5)
