Hi, I had the same fault. You'll have to remove the plinth-cover to get at the mechanics. In the arm-return mechanism there is a foam pad, this has probably perished. I replaced it with a cube (6x6x6mm) of fairly dense foam. I found these images on the internet but I can't remember where. Hope this helps. Regards Paul.
