Changes since the original HRSCF DIY project

Hi all,

I have had many inquiries lately by AA members regarding the HRSCF DIY project. I have made a few small changes that have not been added to the .pdf file yet. I will list the changes in this post and when I have time I will make the changes in the file as an addendum. It has been awhile since I posted any pics on AA. Hopefully the three pics show in this post, otherwise I will post the other pics in posts to follow.

Changes:

#1) Since Microsorb is no longer available, now the caps and resistors are mounted on a bread board. I purchase large size bread boards from Radio Shack and cut to size. See internal pics. The bread boards are secured to the ABS enclusure via #4 brass bolts purchased from OSH. EAR C-1002 ISODAMP is used between enclosure and bread board to dampen. The EAR C-1002 ISODAMP I purchase from Percy Audio.

#2) Light coat of GOOP or 3M Super strength adhesive is used between the TI-Shield and enclosure lid.

#3) Fiberglass cloth sleeving is used instead of teflon tubing for the leads. Leads are now twisted. Fiberglass cloth sleeving can be purchased from Percy or many other online sources. The Fiberglass cloth sleeving 1) is easier to twist and keeps its shape better then Teflon with no apperant sonic difference, 2) Looks better, 3) Suppose to help with RFI rejection (although I have not seen proof of this).

The 36 page DIY project in .pdf format can be found/downloaded from Alan Maher's website: http://alanmaherdesigns.com/Documents/HRSCF_Project_rev-1.pdf

Best Regards,
