I am about to do series notch filter to my woofer. Re= 4 ohm, Fs= 65 hz, Qes= 0.71, Qms=4.24. According to my calculation, C=875 uf, L= 7 mh, and R= 4.6 ohm. Since capacitance is high so I think I will use electrolytic caps. My questions are
1. Can I use 50v cap in this application? Is 50v sufficient for high current application as speaker network?
2. Does quality of parts affect to sound?
I searched here and Jon Risch said it won't affect sound qualit. But my experience about Zobel, it really does. So I am quite confuse.
thanks
