RE: Super accurate CD Clock

I saw that too and have thought about it prior to this at some length. The small Rb frequency standards contain small VCXOs not unlike the ones already in our CD players and DACs and used in a PLL against the Rb cell. They offer great long term stability but have little to no effect on jitter due to their construction.

I would actually consider something with much more short-term stability against jitter, like a high quality SC-cut OCXO such as an HP 10811 (which of course is 10HMz) and synthesize the needed frequencies from there.

I wish is was that easy...
