Hmm. I don't know which is more effective. But I did try sets of parallel capacitors and Hammond chokes all through my system and the audio system circuit and they do have different sonic signatures. Generally parallel sets of capacitor give a very clean tight sound however they can make the upper midrange a little too forward and dry up the bass a little. Chokes generally give a liquid quality and warmer bass.Of course the sound of each will change depending on where they are placed in the circuit and on what component they are placed on , but I find the above rule-of-thumb generally rings true.
