Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I built a two level riser for my H/T, the lower deck is supported by modifying heavy duty draw rollers so I can extend/move the deck away from the upper riser. (I am gonna post some photos later tonight)This is so I have enough room to use recline my theater chairs.
Now it seems to work fine rolling it in and out by hand and to take it a step further I want to motorize it.It slides easily so I’m thinking using a low speed motor with a cog on the spindle that in turn that will drive a 18" long toothed something or other don’t know what you would call it, that is attached to the deck.
Can anyone help me in how to accomplish this or a Google phrase to try to find the parts I need?
Thanks
