I have a Sony DVP-S7000 that I'm using as a CD only player. The main caps on the power supply board are 4700uF/16v and 2200uF 25v Nippon Chemicron's. In upgrading these, Nichicon FG's are available in the same values/sizes. I could also go bigger (4700uF/25v & 10000uF/16v respectively) if I used either Nichicon VR's or Panasonic M's.
Opinions as to which would be the better move. Same size with better quality caps or larger value caps of about the same quality?
Also would it make a difference whether the unit was being used as a stand alone unit or as a transport.
Any & all feedback welcome.
