Well, the reason I ask is that duplex receptacles usually get put into wall boxes and covered with a cover plate. They don't usually get put into the side of a metal enclosure.
The single ones, using a simple round hole, usually do.
Look, if you want to spend hundreds on a special punch, go ahead. I'm just saying there is a solution available that allows you to use a $5 hole saw instead - and it looks great too.
