Long time no see on the forums. We have a similar setup with our Magnepans, I included a pic below. I too moved into a house with a switched outlet. I had my cousin over, a certified electrician, to undo this for me. I don't think it was a sound quality issue, but when someone would come into the room or leave the room, they would switch off my entire stereo system. This isn't good for the equipment, and I like to keep my equipment warm at all times for use.
