Hi Dave,Hard to improve on your reply - succinct and entirely correct.
Cleaning the fuses with Kontak or another no-residue cleaner can help. Sounds silly, but it works. But there is no sonic gain worth the risk of fire, personal injury, and component damage by operating equipment without the fuses.
