I've read about some circuit breakers that can be fitted to amps in place of mains fuses. They were mentioned in an article published by Hi-fi World, the UK mag. As fitted to their push pull 300B kit, they were said to offer a fractional improvement. Needless to say there's no safe alternative.good luck, I think the parts were supplied by a UK electronics specialist.
