No, I don't think your 24V, 3.13A transformer is really up to the task Chris.I prefer going for at least 6~7Amps 25V (vs 25V5A from original design) instead. Although pure class-A doesn't calls for significant current swing but then you'll have a peace of mind knowing that extra current "headrrom" would keep your transformer running in a slightly cooler operating temperature, ensuring stability/reliability during extended operating conditions.
