I'm not sure where you are located, but code here in Tennessee is 12AWG for 30A circuits. I've got two in my listening room, both terminated with standard 3-prong hospital-grade outlets. And before the change to OTLS and SETs, I ran ARC VT-150SEs off them with no problem. And I've got 2KVA Equi=Tech Balanced Powered Converters plugged into each of them now, again, no problem.
