WHOA!!! THAT'S AN AMP! WITH A CAPITAL A

If you go for a 40 amp circuit, you'll need 8 gauge wire that will have to terminate into one of those geeky looking outlets. Same thing for the 30 amp, you'll need 10 gauge. That's building code. I don't think there is a standard 3 prong that handles anything higher than 20A.

Ever consider 240v? That will halve the load you'll have symmetrical AC, 2 hots and 1 ground, instead of 120v 1 hot, 1 neutral and 1 ground. The neutral and ground are connected anyway. Moreover, less noise potential. You can use 240v 20A, instead of 120V 40A. I'm sure that Krell has 240v models, but will they sell you one for domestic use? You might want to check your amp, if the mains have splits in the primaries or have Krell do it for you. Wire them in series and you've got a 240v amp.

I've got a Best 200 amp UPS, complete with an array of Lead-acid batteries. Doesn't work. I've also got a 20A Shape Magnetronics Line Tamer (isolation transformer) Kinda works, but buzzes like nothing.

I believe that the founders of the Asylum are looking for reviews. I for one would sure like to know about the Krell 600. Hint, Hint.

ENJOY that Krell!!! with a capital E!
